In order to promote bone health awareness and the adoption of positive related behaviors among pre-teen and teen girls, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation launched the National Bone Health Campaign in 1999. A few years into this initiative, the partnership commissioned a series of focus groups to explore how best to communicate bone health information online. The research our partner conducted uncovered optimal website design and information dissemination practices. Our Partner delivered insights that informed the redevelopment of the partnership website, thus better enabling target audience members to locate “news they can use” regarding diet and exercise options that improve both health.
